To have John Bower as my agent when selling my home was of immense value, as his background of many years in the building industry meant he could give excellent advice on readying the property for the market. Though my house was insulclad, John was able to assure me it was likely to be sound, and on his advice I had a Property Inspection Report prepared which ran to 35 pages complete with thermal imagery and photographs. The report was extremely thorough and competent. (But without the extortionate fees I had been quoted by a valuation company.) The inspection revealed two minor concerns which I was able to have fixed before the property went on the market. This meant I had an invoice showing the repairs had been completed. The photography of my home was extremely well done – right down to an aerial drone shot showing a bird’s eye view.
John was an excellent communicator with invaluable knowledge and advice. So it is no surprise that the property attracted interest from the time it was posted on the internet, with viewings the same day it was listed, and many more viewings before it sold following the first open home four days later. Also, John had invaluable trade contacts which enabled me to do minor repairs and improve presentation of the property.
