A year or two ago this question was virtually non-existent, but the rise and rise of Apple is seeing an increasing number of companies wanting to make the leap to Apple.

As in everything we do, FunctionEight endevours to keep things simple and the answer to whether you should choose PC or Apple is both simple and complicated…

By that we mean you should choose the platform which is best suited to meeting the needs of your business. Avoid ticking off ‘pros and cons’ or going with what the boss likes best, and think of what will work for the business.

For example, we recently had an inquiry from a person in the Hedge Fund industry who was considering switching to Apple… the only problem being, there was no Apple compatible software (yet) upon which to run their business.

A couple of questions you should ask yourself:

1. Does our business or industry require specific types of software? And is that software supported by the platform we are considering?

2. Will we require IT support? And if so, does the relevant experience in our preferred platform exist within the company, or is it easily accessible from local service providers?

Alternatively, you can talk to the team here at FunctionEight.com and we’ll be happy to advise you on what’s best for you.
