We’ve got to admit that we didn’t see this one coming.  That is one major purchase!  Just read this article last night on engadget.com

Does this mean that we can look forward to LinkedIn no longer working quite as we expect it to?  Are we being overly synical when we say that we don’t think Skype works quite as well as it used to prior to being aquired by Microsoft?  That isn’t the only example!

Don’t even get us started on the change in Win10 install tactic that has seen Microsoft boasting of ‘a huge surge in uptake’.  Not that FunctionEight are suggesting you should avoid the update – but we would suggest you consider getting a technically savvy person to assist you with the process, as it may not quite end the way you (or Microsoft for that matter) are hoping for – ie a still fully functional pc/laptop.
